Our mission is to reconnect people with their native roots, celebrate the region’s spiritual legacy, and preserve its cultural identity for future generations. Through this platform, we encourage community members to share valuable historical information, contribute to the preservation of our heritage, and stay informed about important events and activities across the district.

To collect, collate, develop and promote our Arcaud heritage culture and traditions that are unique for our Arcaud district imbibing Sanadhana Dharma for the benefit of our next generation, and also for practicing the same by present and future generations, living in different part of the world.
A Bridge to Our Heritage and Community
Shad Aranyam – The Sacred Legacy of Six Forests
Arcot is traditionally associated with Shad Aranyam, meaning “Six Sacred Forests.” According to local spiritual tradition, six Maharishis lived and performed their spiritual practices in the forests surrounding the Arcot region.
It is believed that Shiva temples with magnificent Raja Gopurams were established to facilitate the daily worship of these sages. These sacred sites represent the region’s rich Shaivite heritage, ancient history, and enduring spiritual traditions.
Preserving the history of these temples and sharing their significance with future generations is an important step towards safeguarding Arcot’s cultural and spiritual identity.
